I had a pretty rough experience at Cricklewood Guesthouse. The rooms looked nice from the outside, but the reality was much different. The dirty bathrooms and lack of amenities really kept me disappointed, though the breakfast was a decent highlight of my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was in a disappointing state with dirt and cobwebs, and the bathroom was falling apart. Despite being advertised as luxury, it felt shoddy and neglected.
Service
5.0
While the staff were friendly, the service suffered due to ongoing issues like having no hot water for a couple of days, which really ruined the experience.
Location
5.0
The location was okay, being close to Menlyn Mall, but that didn't make up for the overall experience at the guesthouse.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was the only good part of my stay, but other meals were lacking in choice and taste. The food options were way too limited.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were subpar, with a lack of reliability in basic services like water which really affected my stay. The overall security felt lacking as well.

I had a mixed experience at Cricklewood Guesthouse. While the ambiance was lovely and the staff were friendly, there were several issues with the room and dining setup that detracted from my stay. The location was convenient near Menlyn Mall, which I appreciated. Overall, it felt a bit like a hidden gem but also had some significant shortcomings. 😕

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious, featuring a gigantic bed and reliable Wi-Fi, but I encountered multiple issues like a malfunctioning hairdryer and impractical shower design.
Service

The staff members, especially Jackson who attended to our conference, were friendly and helpful. However, there were instances of disinterest from management when I raised issues.
Location

The dining experience was underwhelming, with limited menu options and cleanliness issues during our conference lunch. It could definitely be improved.

My stay at Cricklewood Guesthouse was quite disappointing. While the location was convenient, the rooms were outdated and in poor condition, which added to my dissatisfaction. However, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were old and smelly, with basic amenities missing. For example, I found the furniture worn out and unstable. Overall, they felt more like a relative's home than a comfortable place to stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were nice and friendly, which was definitely a positive aspect of my experience. However, the owner's rude demeanor when I expressed my concerns overshadowed this.
Location
5.0
The guesthouse is situated close to the center of Pretoria, making it accessible to various establishments, but the odd layout with different facilities away from the main manor house was not ideal.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options lacked variety, and ordering any hot meal came at an extra charge, which I found quite disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like room service were present, but overall, the guesthouse did not meet my expectations in terms of comfort and convenience.

My stay at Cricklewood Guesthouse was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were spacious and had gigantic beds, but the overall facilities felt outdated. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the lack of basic amenities and poor management left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for families, but maybe for short solo stays. 😕
